Plastic surgery marketing in Salt Lake City: from 1 or 2 surgeries a month to 7 or 8 on the same ad budget.
Salt Lake City has one of the highest concentrations of plastic surgeons per capita in the country. The surgeon in our study was spending about $5,000 a month as someone who did everything, for 15 to 25 leads and 1 or 2 surgeries. Rebuilt around body contouring, the same budget produced 75 leads in January 2026 at about $60 each and 7 to 8 surgeries a month.

The Salt Lake City Market
What a Salt Lake City patient sees before she picks up the phone.
Body contouring in Salt Lake City is a specialist's market, and the patient compares several surgeons before she calls. She is usually a mother in Sandy, Draper, South Jordan, or Park City, weighing mommy makeover, lipoabdominoplasty, liposculpture, or fat transfer to the hips and glutes. "Mommy makeover Salt Lake City" and "tummy tuck Utah" led the campaigns, and the first page of results decides who gets the consultation.
The auction is not what makes a lead expensive here. Before we took over, the practice paid $200 to $330 per lead on roughly $5,000 a month; after the rebuild, January 2026 came in at about $60 on the same spend. The Plastic Surgery Ad Spend Report 2026 groups Salt Lake City with Phoenix and Austin as mid-size metros, where $2,000 to $5,000 a month bought 7 to 10 surgeries, practice-reported. This is not the New York or Miami auction.
So the money should follow the focus. A surgeon here needs a site that says, in the first screen, which procedure he is built for, landing pages that open with his own results, and campaigns that spend only on matching searches. That is the work we do as a plastic surgery marketing agency. The account never got a bigger budget, only a clearer one.
Salt Lake City is where I would least want to be the surgeon who does a little of everything. The patient has too many options to work out what you are good at. Say it in the first sentence, prove it in the first screen.
The Engagement

How a Salt Lake City plastic surgeon went from 1 or 2 surgeries a month to 7 or 8 on the same ad budget by focusing on the surgery he loves.

We rebuilt his website, landing pages, story, and search presence around that focus. On the same monthly budget of about $5,000, the account went from 15 to 25 leads and 1 or 2 surgeries a month to 75 leads in January 2026 at about $60 each, and 7 to 8 surgeries a month. What Changed
Four moves that turned a generalist account into a body contouring practice.
The account was not broken by its bids. It was broken by its story.
Positioning: one surgeon, one focus
The practice had given a dozen procedures equal billing. We rewrote it so a body contouring patient reads at once that this is her surgeon. The month-by-month lead counts are in the study of how it went from 1 or 2 surgeries a month to 7 or 8 on the same budget.
A website with a page for every body procedure
Lipoabdominoplasty, liposculpture, and fat transfer to the hips and glutes each got their own page, and the paid landing pages open with before-and-after results instead of a biography. A patient clicking through from a Sandy or Draper search sees proof before she sees a form.
Google Ads concentrated on body contouring searches
Campaigns were narrowed to body contouring searches, led by "mommy makeover Salt Lake City" and "tummy tuck Utah", with copy about liposuction, body shaping, and natural, safe results. Leads went from 27 in July 2025 to 75 in January 2026 with no budget increase. This is the structure our plastic surgery Google Ads work starts from.
SEO and AI search, so not every patient is a paid click
The same pages were rebuilt to rank, with procedure definitions, credentials, FAQs, and structured data. Average Google position moved from about 45 to 11 in Search Console, with 10 to 15 searches on page one, and the practice began appearing in AI answers. That is why plastic surgery SEO is part of the same build.
Procedures
What a Salt Lake City patient needs to see for each procedure.
Mommy makeover
This search led the account, and the patient compares surgeons for months. She needs a gallery deep enough to find a body like hers, what the combination includes, and pricing as a starting range with financing. For a mother in South Jordan or Draper, say how many visits it takes.
Lipoabdominoplasty
Most patients search for it as a tummy tuck, so the page has to bridge the term and say how the combined approach differs from a standard abdominoplasty. Credentials carry the most weight here: board certification, where the surgery is performed, how recovery is managed.
Liposculpture
The comparison is visual. Patients want areas, not silhouettes: abdomen, flanks, arms, chin, and the result at several months rather than several days. Natural, safe results was the phrase the campaign ran on, and the page has to earn it with photographs.
Fat transfer to hips and glutes
Patients ask about safety before shape, so lead with technique and candidacy. A gallery organized by starting point, a plain account of how fat is harvested and placed, and pricing that notes it is usually combined with liposculpture belong above the fold.
The Benchmark
What the ad spend report says about mid-size metros like this one.
The Plastic Surgery Ad Spend Report 2026 covers nine practices and $600,000 in Google Ads. Across the five accounts with a clean before and after, cost per lead fell 50 to 70% at roughly the same budget, and lead volume came in at about 2× overall.
In the three mid-size metro practices, Phoenix, Austin, and Salt Lake City, $2,000 to $5,000 a month bought 7 to 10 surgeries, practice-reported, or roughly $250 to $750 per surgery with ad spend divided by surgeries. Those are the practices' own counts, and they are the numbers we hold ourselves to.
The larger markets read differently. Miami, one of the most contested plastic surgery auctions in the country, had been paying roughly $160 to $200 per lead and came down to about $80, and that was a win. DC went from $58 to $28. New York cut its lead count by about a third on purpose and reports twice the surgeries.
The figures we would put in front of a Salt Lake City surgeon:
- Cost per lead after a rebuild, same budget: down 50 to 70% across five accounts
- Surgeries from ads at $2,000 to $5,000 a month, mid-size metros: 7 to 10, practice-reported
- Surgeries after rebuild in Salt Lake City: about 4 to 5× on flat spend, practice-reported
- Cost per lead after rebuild, all nine accounts: roughly $20 to $80, directional only

How a Phoenix plastic surgeon went from 1 lead a month to 8 to 10 new surgical patients a month after rebuilding his website and ad strategy.
A board-certified plastic surgeon in Phoenix was running Google Ads to a generic website that didn't show what made his work different. In July 2025 the account spent $1,497 and produced one lead. We rebuilt his website around the procedures he performs most, gave each one its own page with a proper before-and-after gallery, and rebuilt the campaigns to match. Leads became steady within a month. Once the new system proved itself, the practice doubled its budget, and by July 2026 the same account was producing about 40 qualified leads a month at $75 each, and Google Ads alone was putting 8 to 10 new surgical patients on his schedule every month.
How an Austin plastic surgeon became a breast and body specialist and turned it into 7 to 8 new surgical patients a month.
An Austin plastic surgeon came to us after working with an agency that "specialized in healthcare" but had given him the same generic website it could have given any doctor. His real strength, breast and body surgery, was nowhere in his story. We rebuilt his website and his Google Ads around that specialty. In the first 12 months the new system produced about 315 qualified leads at $75 each on roughly $2,000 a month in ad spend, and Google Ads alone now brings in 7 to 8 new surgical patients a month.
